College Student Health Survey
The CSHS is conducted with a large randomized sample of graduate and undergraduate students. The survey collects information from students about health care utilization; mental health; tobacco use; alcohol, cannabis, and other drug use; sexual health; personal safety; nutrition and physical activity; and financial health.
The CSHS has been conducted on the Twin Cities campus every two-to-three years since 1995 and has been administered on over 60 other postsecondary institutions across Minnesota. The data has been used to develop and inform programs, update leadership on key trends in college health that influence academic success, and influence policy decisions that have benefited and supported students at the University of Minnesota.
