What can I expect from the program?
- Our program offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. Participants can expect a well-rounded training curriculum that prepares them for the diverse challenges in the field of mental health.
- Expect a thoughtful experience designed to prepare you for a long career in mental health care, offered from providers eager to set you up for success.
How selective is the opportunity?
- Our selection process is competitive, focusing on individuals passionate about mental health with the potential for growth and contribution to the field.
- We typically admit 3-6 individuals per academic year from the University of MN Social Work, Counselor Education, and Counseling Psychology programs and have about 10-15 people apply.
What should I do if I get accepted?
- Upon acceptance, you will be contacted by our program's coordinator and HR team over the summer and you will go through an on-boarding process in late August. Detailed information will be provided about the start of your regular schedule during the first week of the school year.
