Bio

Taylor Karnilaw is a doctoral intern at Boynton Mental Health and Counseling. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in person-centered therapy and multicultural humility with an understanding of the broader systems that are contributing to the lived experiences of her clients. She works collaboratively with clients to examine patterns that might have been helpful in the past but are less helpful in the present, using a relational/dynamic style. Coping skills are incorporated to support clients in their lives outside of the therapy room with an attention to their strengths and resiliencies. She has experience working with adjustment concerns, chronic pain, masculinity and emotions, career and academic concerns, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, and identity development with clients across the lifespan and of all identities.
