Bio
Sarah (she/they) has worked at the University of Minnesota for several years as an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter, bridging students with disabilities to campus resources. Sarah enjoys connecting and co-creating a space to examine life stressors, build coping tools, recognize how past experiences impact our current behaviors, unify mind/body connections, and rediscover innate strengths. Her experiences personally and professionally have shaped her values and core beliefs, which are grounded in social justice: to recognize disability as diversity, to bear witness and provide hope of healing from adverse childhood experiences, and the transformative power of radical-acceptance. Sarah has experience working with child abuse survivors, people with disabilities, BIPOC students, trauma survivors, queer students, and is excited to serve students of all identities.
