Dr. Loeffler believes therapy is a collaborative process to address clients’ goals and concerns. Working from a strengths-based approach, he focuses on building self-efficacy and empowering clients with confidence and skills. He believes his role in the therapeutic relationship is to be warm, empathic, and honest to establish a baseline for trust. Dr. Loeffler incorporates an appropriate sense of humor and focuses on authenticity, and transparency throughout counseling. He prioritizes listening to client's internal and external experiences and believes validation is the first step towards emotional health. His approach is grounded in identifying internal resources that build compassion and insight around painful interpersonal and intrapersonal patterns to foster healing and growth.
Dr. Loeffler received his doctor of Psychology degree from the Rosemead School of Psychology where his research focused on evidenced-based treatments for self harming and suicidal adolescents. He completed his Pre-Doctoral Health Psychology Internship at the University of Kansas City Missouri.
