Bio

ThanhVan (she/her) has worked in a variety of mental health settings in and around the Twin Cities. She works collaboratively with students of all identities to build on areas of unique strengths and competencies, with dignity and respect being imperative components of care. As a queer, first-generation college graduate, she is keenly aware of the power of identity and connection in her work with students. Her areas of clinical focus include difficulties in interpersonal/family relationships, sexual and interpersonal trauma, multicultural identity development for 1st/2nd gen immigrants, acculturation and adjustment for international students, substance abuse harm reduction, and managing anxiety, depression, school stress, and sleep. She partners with students to focus on determining which patterns and beliefs are helpful vs. harmful and together determine where to focus the collective therapeutic energy.
