Bio

Taryn is a master's-level therapy intern at the University of Minnesota School of Social Work. She has experience supporting neurodiverse individuals, survivors of sexual violence, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community and serves students of all identities. Before joining Boynton, Taryn interned at College of Science & Engineering Wellness (CSEWell), where she supported the health and wellbeing of undergraduate students in the College of Science and Engineering. Through her work at CSEWell, Taryn also supported first-generation college students and women and non-binary students in STEM. Taryn strives to create a welcoming, collaborative space through her relational approach, where curiosity and humor are always welcome. Anti-oppressive, person-centered, multicultural, and feminist theories inform her practice. As a neurodiverse (ADHD) returning adult student, Taryn understands the challenges of balancing multiple responsibilities at once and the pressures that come with them. She brings this lived experience to her work and is committed to working with students of all backgrounds and identities.
