Bio

Dr. Xie is a Licensed Psychologist fluent in Mandarin and English languages. He has experience working with international students, BIPOC students, neurodiverse students, etc., and serves students of all identities. He supports students in navigating a wide range of personal, academic, and developmental concerns. His clinical approach is informed by acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), which he integrates to help students build emotional awareness, coping skills, and values-based action.

Multicultural counseling and culturally responsive care are central to Dr. Xie’s practice. He incorporates culturally adaptive coping strategies and attends to the impact of identity, culture, and systemic factors on students’ mental health and well-being. Dr. Xie has experience supporting students navigating grief and loss, stress, anxiety, identity-related concerns, and life transitions. He is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and affirming therapeutic environment.
