Bio

Nikki Malecek (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with more than five years of experience providing mental health care to college-age students. She works with students navigating life transitions, academic and occupational stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use concerns. Nikki’s clinical approach is informed by cognitive behavioral therapy and person-centered therapy and incorporates trauma-responsive and harm-reduction frameworks. She supports students in exploring patterns of substance use within the context of relationships, stress, identity development, and changing life roles. Her work emphasizes collaborative goal setting, increased self-awareness, and practical skill building to reduce harm and support overall well-being. Nikki serves students of all identities and is committed to providing inclusive, nonjudgmental, and supportive care. In her practice, Nikki aims to create a therapeutic space where students feel heard, respected, and empowered as they develop insight, resilience, and coping strategies during times of transition and growth.
