Bio

Ian views the counseling process as one that allows for the difficulties, struggles, and pains of life to be processed and explored within an environment that collaboratively cultivates trust, safety, and support. Clients who work with Ian will feel an empathic foundation to the work and feel authentically cared for, as he centers a genuine and warm therapeutic relationship as a primary agent of change; a relationship that actively incorporates the holistic identities and experiences that embody the client's full story. Ian has experience working with first-generation college students, international students, immigrants, and couples, while serving students of all identities. Ian’s clinical focus areas include anxious & depressive symptomology, multicultural identity exploration, gender & sexuality identity exploration, emotional processing, identity-based trauma, and relational concerns.
