Bio
Hannah is a predoctoral psychology intern at Boynton Mental Health & Counseling for the 2026–2027 academic year. She is currently completing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Denver. Her clinical and research work has focused on eating disorders and disordered eating, body image, weight stigma, chronic pain and health conditions, illness identity, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), perfectionism, and LGBTQIA+ experiences. She approaches therapy from a relational, multicultural, and feminist perspective. Through this lens, Hannah believes that struggles do not exist in isolation, but are shaped by our relationships, identities, communities, and the broader social contexts in which we live. Hannah views therapy as a collaborative relationship in which clients are the experts on their own lives, and together they can explore their individual experiences, strengths, and goals. Her approach draws from Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Relational Psychodynamic Therapy. She is especially passionate about collaborating with students to develop more compassionate relationships with themselves and their bodies, navigate relationships and identity, and understand patterns that may have once helped them cope but are no longer serving them.
