Bio

Dr. Tu is a licensed psychologist fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. She has more than 15 years of experience working in university counseling centers, supporting undergraduate and graduate students navigating relationship distress, identity development, cultural adjustment, grief and loss, and resilience to shame. Dr. Tu has experience working with first-generation students, international students, neurodivergent individuals, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community, while serving students of all identities. In addition to her clinical work, she has experience providing clinical supervision and training, supporting trainees in their professional development and pursuit of diverse career paths. Grounded in relational cultural theory, Dr. Tu’s approach emphasizes connection, authenticity, and growth. She takes a whole-person perspective, helping clients identify their strengths, relational patterns, available resources, and personal goals to foster meaningful and sustainable change.
