Bio

Amy Brandt is a licensed clinical social worker currently serving students in the College of Veterinary Medicine. She supports students with a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, and academic demands. Her counseling style is compassionate, non-judgmental, and strengths-based. In her practice, Amy draws from various counseling strategies including self-compassion, relaxation training, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills. She has experience supporting graduate and professional students and hopes to create a space where all students will feel heard, supported and empowered to explore their own personal-growth and healing.
