Abigail Hildenbrand

Abby is a pre-doctoral psychology intern from Alliant University in San Diego, CA currently completing her internship at Boynton Health during the 2026-2027 academic year. Abby approaches therapy primarily through an integrative approach of acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and humanistic modalities. She strongly values the therapeutic relationship and would describe her therapeutic style as straightforward yet empathetic and person-focused in order to collaborate and best serve each individual. Abby takes a culturally-curious, trauma-informed, and holistic lens within her work which emphasizes relational and community-based healing. Abby has experience working with complex trauma, sexual violence, relationships, identity development, emotion regulations, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, members of the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC individuals, and serves students of all identities.
