Bio

Sana Khan, Master of Education in Community Counseling (M.Ed.), is a current Advanced Practicum student working toward her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree at Augsburg University. Sana has experience working with young adults and adults in individual and group settings to promote healthy lifestyle choices and maintain stress management. She utilizes person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative exposure therapy, trauma-informed techniques, as well as positive psychology, to work with her clients to work towards reducing distressing moments. Sana believes that personal identities are the hallmark for establishing a meaningful therapeutic relationship. Coming from a diverse background, Sana also focuses on understanding various aspects of an individual's identity to better guide and help her clients. Sana has experience working with trauma, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, life transitions, relationship concerns, anger management, grief, and hopes to serve students of all identities.
