I have lived in Minnesota since my family relocated from Canada in 1960. I have my undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 1978 and graduate degree in 1992 and have worked on campus my entire career in health and healthcare administration. My wife and two daughters graduated from the University of Minnesota and we are firm believers in the quality and value of the educational experience here at the U. Working with students to help improve the health and well-being of our campus community is the best part of my job.

I have served Boynton as the Chief Operating Officer and now as the Director since 2004.
I have also served the University in previous positions as Senior Administrative Director for Ambulatory Care for University of Minnesota Physicians and Chief Executive Officer for University Family Physicians.
My previous U of M role as a Nursing Specialist in Mental Health has provided me with experience to assist in capacity building for the current need for campus mental health services.
