Ryan Bortz is originally from Pennsylvania, graduating with their PharmD from Wilkes University in 2013. In 2015, Ryan moved to Minneapolis to pursue a master's degree in Social and Administrative Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota. While working on their degree, they were hired as a per diem Pharmacist at Boynton in 2019. Ryan successfully defended their thesis, "Experiences of Transgender People Filling Prescriptions in Community Pharmacies," in the Spring of 2020 and has been fortunate enough to return to Boynton Pharmacy full-time! In their free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with their dogs, and discovering new restaurants in the Twin Cities. When Ryan was a kid, they wanted to be a medical doctor until they realized they would have to touch people and look at wounds.
