Volunteer with Your Pet for PAWS

Attend an informational overview and training on January 28, from 5–7 p.m. at Boynton Health, Garden Room N101 on the Minneapolis campus. Please do not bring your animal partner to this meeting—but pictures of your animal are welcome. Drinks and light snacks will be offered. We will discuss the program, how this is different than other facilities where you might have gone with your animal, and how student needs are particular to their developing years. We will also tour the facility.

All species are welcome as long as the team is registered with Pet Partners, TDI, ITA, or Alliance of Therapy Dogs. Teams can sign up for one session or come weekly and stay for one hour or both hours of each two-hour session. We use an online scheduling program to track your visits. Teams will be compensated with parking validation.

Please RSVP to Tanya Bailey, PAWS Coordinator by January 24. Tanya will also email you a packet that includes a map of the campus and location for parking. Please feel free to share with others who might be interested, and please don't hesitate to contact Tanya with questions at tanya@umn.edu. Thank you.
