A substance use assessment is a thorough interview and evaluation of your alcohol and drug use for the purpose of beginning therapy services at Boynton and/or making formal recommendations about the possible need for treatment.
Substance use assessments are sometimes a requirement for legal charges in alcohol and drug related offenses. You can request an assessment at any time whether or not it is for legal purposes.
To schedule a substance use assessment, call our Boynton's Mental Health Clinic at 612-624-1444.
Health Promotion Consultation
A health promotion consultation is a less-formal, confidential exploration of your drug and alcohol use. A consultation can help you assess how your substance use affects your life and learn how to make healthier decisions.
Health promotion consultations are usually done as a result of a violation of the University’s drug and alcohol policy. But you can request a consultation at any time.
