Chenhao Zhao is a counseling psychology intern. He earned his Master of Science (MSc) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is currently a second-year Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Minnesota.
Chenhao's clinical work is informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and emphasizes collaborative, evidence-based care. He has experience supporting Asian men and international students, and is attentive to the unique cultural, identity-based, and contextual factors that shape clients’ experiences of distress and well-being.
In his work, Chenhao strives to create a respectful, inclusive, and culturally responsive therapeutic environment, supporting clients in developing practical coping strategies while honoring their lived experiences and values.
